Skin allergy testing
Skin allergy testing is used to diagnose allergic diseases. The advantage of the skin allergy testing method is getting results quickly, that is, you can expect results in as little as 20 minutes.
If you suspect allergies, testing for them is the first step you should take.
Allergens include:
- certain foods
- dust mites and dust
- pollen
- pet hair
What does skin allergy testing look like?
We apply an allergen solution to the surface of your skin, on the inner side of the forearm, and introduce it into the superficial layer of the skin. The examination will not leave scars.
It is possible to test for multiple allergens at the same time. Allergens that enter our body through inhalation (inhalation) or by consuming certain foods (nutritional) are tested.

When should skin allergy testing be done?
When skin changes appear:
• skin rashes
• itching
• urticaria
In case of respiratory problems (seasonal or year-round):
• runny nose
• sneezing
• coughing
• asthma
In case of digestive problems:
• diarrhea
• abdominal cramps
• painovi in the abdomen
When can I expect the results?
The test results are ready after just 20 minutes from the test itself, when the reaction is assessed. This is followed by determining the therapy.
How to prepare for testing?
Before testing, antihistamines must not be taken for at least 7 – 10 days, and systemic corticosteroids for at least 4 weeks.
The prick test is safe and has no serious side effects.
