Color Doppler – blood flow examination
Doppler ultrasound is a special imaging technique performed using an ultrasound machine. It is used to examine blood flow through the heart, blood vessels, arteries, and veins in the abdomen, neck, legs, and arms.
What does the examination look like?
The examination is quick, non-invasive, and completely painless. The patient lies in a relaxed position while the doctor moves the ultrasound probe over the area being examined, using gel for better contact with the skin. The results are available immediately.
