Menopause workup includes a systematic gynecological, ultrasound, and hormonal evaluation of women in perimenopause and postmenopause, with the aim of timely identifying pathological changes, assessing symptoms, and individually planning therapy. What menopause workup includes

• detailed gynecological examination
• transvaginal ultrasound (TV US)
• assessment of the endometrium (thickness, structure)
• assessment of the ovaries and pelvic structures
• Color Doppler when indicated
• laboratory hormonal workup (FSH, LH, estradiol, progesterone – if needed)
• assessment of symptoms and risks (bleeding, pain, hot flashes)

When menopause workup is indicated

• absence of menstruation or irregular bleeding

• free fluid in the pelvis
• Color Doppler for assessment of suspicious lesions
