When do you need an immunologist?
You need an immunologist if you suffer from any immunological disease or autoimmune disease. The most common autoimmune diseases are rheumatoid arthritis (an inflammatory joint disease), Hashimoto’s disease (inflammation of the thyroid gland), multiple sclerosis (an inflammatory disease of the nervous system), Crohn’s disease (inflammation of the intestines), celiac disease (gluten intolerance), scleroderma, Sjögren’s syndrome, Type I diabetes, and other autoimmune diseases.
