What is an MSCT biopsy
MSCT CORE biopsies guided by computed tomography (CT) are a procedure most commonly performed when there is suspicion that a diagnosed lesion may have malignant potential, in order to obtain a sample of the lesion and send it for pathohistological analysis. These methods are applied when an abnormality in certain organs or tissues is proven by a diagnostic method, and the final diagnosis must be differentiated by histological verification, according to which further treatment is determined (surgery or chemotherapy or follow-up).
