MRCP

What is MRCP (Magnetic Resonance Imaging Cholangiopancreatography)?
MRCP is a survey that provides the most detailed imaging of intrahepatic liver ducts, extrahepatic biliary ducts, as well as biliary ducts, gallbladder, and pancreatic ducts, which are the clearest and more detailed than any other imaging method.

When is MRCP used?
MRCP is used to diagnose common bile duct disorders, especially stones. It is used in the diagnosis of diseases (tumors, stones, inflammation or infection) of the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts and pancreas. This method can detect the underlying cause of ductal and pancreatic duct obstruction.
